About Us

Our Story: British Engineering, Family Values

Founded in 2006, Pinpoint Manufacturing has evolved from a family-run workshop into a global leader in high-capacity lifting solutions.
Based in the heart of Wales, UK, we combine traditional British craftsmanship with cutting-edge design and manufacturing. While our reach is now global—supplying the world’s largest renewable energy and offshore firms, as well as the construction industry—our core remains the same: a dedicated family business built on trust, quality, and a handshake that matters.

Meet Our Team

Sandra La Grange

Managing Director

Sandra started the company in 2006 from her home in Gower, South Wales. “Back in the day,” long before Pinpoint, Sandra had a passion for motorbikes and leatherwork. She spent a lot of her spare time repairing friends’ motorbike seats and leather jackets and creating handy trinkets out of leather. After gaining recognition for her leatherwork, Sandra became well-known across Swansea for her skill. Others needing repairs began to approach her, which snowballed as she moved on to working with new materials. Eventually, she started making Marquees. As her recognition grew, a company came to Sandra, asking if she could design a load-rated lifting bag. Her design was perfect for their requirement, and ‘voila’ Pinpoint Bags was born.

After many years of development and hard work, Sandra is a little less ‘hands-on’ with the company now, and although in constant contact with the team, she spends her leisure time travelling and has converted from motorbikes to horse riding.

Jenn La Grange

Design Director

Sandra’s daughter Jennifer has been involved with Pinpoint since its inception and knows the products inside and out. Jennifer started full-time in 2016. She has since stepped up as Design Director, now responsible for the development of new products and bespoke designs.

Why the “Pinpoint” Name Matters

We believe in precision. In high-stakes industries like offshore wind and solar power, there is no room for “near enough.”

  • Built for the Real World: Our designs are informed by direct feedback from end-users on the front lines.
  • The Personal Touch: Many of our clients have been with us since day one. They stay because we offer the agility of a small business with the manufacturing power of a market leader.
  • Total Traceability: Every load-rated bag leaves our UK site with a Certificate of Conformity, clearly stated Working Load Limit (WLL) and usage/inspection guide, ensuring your team stays safe and compliant.

Innovation on Demand

No two projects are identical—so why settle for a standard bag?
While we offer an extensive range of 300+ proven designs, our specialty is bespoke engineering. Whether you need a minor dimensional tweak or a completely new concept for a unique turbine component, our Welsh design team works alongside you to turn a challenge into a certified solution.

Our Promise: British-Made. Built to Lift.

We don’t just manufacture bags; we engineer the tools that keep the global energy and construction sectors moving. At Pinpoint, we take the load off your shoulders so you can focus on the job at hand.

Our Customers: so many sectors, all equally important to us.

  • Offshore wind
  • Onshore wind
  • Solar
  • Oil and offshore
