We’re thrilled to announce that Ian Helme has joined Pinpoint Manufacturing as Business Development Manager.
Ian brings a wealth of experience, including working closely with customers and on product development. We are sure that he will be invaluable to our team and put him straight to work answering some questions.
Q – Why did you join Pinpoint?
When I first visited Sandy and Jenn, I was immediately struck by the welcome feel of a family business that was been grown over years with a lot of hard work and dedication to make it the success it is today. When I then met their dedicated, focused team, passionate about the products they manufacture and the customers they supply, it was a simple decision. I’m really looking forward to getting to know our customers and to contributing towards the ongoing relationships we have with them.
Q – What is your background?
I’ve spent 25 years in packaging manufacturing in several positions, including customer-facing roles, with a strong focus on helping match products to customer requirements and on new product development.
Q – What will your new role entail?
I enjoy understanding the technical side of products and have spent a lot of time in factories and at customer sites, so I am looking forward to getting a thorough knowledge of our products and how our customers use them. In my new role, I have joined a well-established Pinpoint team and will focus on expanding our range’s reach in the market and supporting my colleagues in responding to new enquiries.
Q – What do you do in your free time?
I have a 9-year-old daughter and a 6-year-old son, so we love family days out at the nearby coast and have the usual schedule of clubs for them. In any other spare time, my main passion is gliding, flying from a club in the beautiful Brecon Beacons, or tinkering with my classic car in the garage when the weather is bad.
